Children’s Museum (belated)

A while back, we made our inaugural trip to the Portland Children’s Museum with some friends. We had never been, even as kids and we were blown away by how fun it was. It is now located in the old OMSI building, near the zoo, and the entire place is filled with themed rooms that cater to toddlers through elementary aged kids. I didn’t get many good pictures because I was too busy playing in all the rooms with Ariah.

Here, Ariah is playing in a “gravel pit” that is made up of recycled rubber “bits”. Its dustless and painless and just as much fun!

Again!

The sickness just keeps on coming.  Now Shyla is recovering from strep throat and Ariah is starting to run a slight fever.  Ugh.  Spring can’t come soon enough.  Hopefully all this illness now will mean an illness free Easter, which would be a first in a long time.  Anywho… here’s the fruit of a recent trip to the park.

A month of sickness…

I can’t remember the last time that I was sick twice in a month, but here we are. Ariah and I volleyed illness back and forth throughout February. Fortunately, Shyla seems to escaped unscathed. Aside from a few rough days, things have been good. Ariah is starting to run, jump and climb now, so we’re viewing all of our furniture in a whole new way (for about the 3rd time). She has taken a very strong interest in drawing. At first it was just demanding that Shyla or I draw Santa Claus or a “Happy Sun”, but now she is also starting to draw a few shapes and name them “face” or “sun”. That is very fun to see! Anyway, onto the latest pictures…
